The Basics

Please list the business objectives for your website in order of importance. e.g improve sales, increase customer satisfaction, reduce time spent searching for information etc.

Your Product

Use this space to tell the story in a narrative, free, and illustrative manner. Make it as exciting as possible, as if you where telling your grandchildren about it after they asked you "Grandpapa, tell us how you became so successful?"

The highlights…brag about your product: What can it do? Why is so handy? Where can you take it? Who will appreciate it most? How much does it weight…how easy is it to move? To assemble/disassemble? To take care of? Just ad-lib questions your customers may ask and answer them as cleverly as possible :)

Describe plainly to a stranger on a bus or in the park. No need to go into a sales pitch. Simply say what it is plainly, what it looks like, how big it is, who uses it, and why there’s a need for it. Think as if this stranger is definitely not your target audience but he/she definitely knows one of your potential buyers. The memorability and clarity of this descriptions is what determines if he/she will be able to transfer the message to someone else. That’s the kind of description you want to create/share. Short and illustrative.

List 3-5 competitors, their product/websites, and the reason why you think they've got one up on you—or not ;) What works, what doesn't?

Content, Design & User Experience

Outline any ideas you may have for your site. How would these features support your business goals and the goals of your user? e.g. provide recommendations to help users find related items and promote up-selling.
