180 Degrees Consulting Indiana University Client Application

Welcome to our online client application! 180 Degrees Consulting at Indiana University has opened up our client applications for consulting services this Fall semester (August-December). The online application is due August 20th.

Clients will be judged based on four criteria:

1. Social Impact

2. Organizational Issues

3. Likelihood of implementation

4. Availability

Please read through detailed descriptions in regards to these criteria below before continuing with the application.
Criteria

Social Impact

180 Degree Consulting's mission is to help generate a greater social impact through our pro-bono consulting efforts. The organizations we consult for must be legal non-profits and non-discriminatory in their social efforts. The size and social impact of the organization will be used for criteria. (Read more here)

Organizational Issues

This application will request you provide insight into your current organizational issues and assistance requests. Please be thorough in explaining your organizational issues (i.e. how long have these issues existed, have solutions already been idealized, what type of results are you expecting, etc.). In this regard, we want to assure that the relationship between consulting team and nonprofit is a mutually beneficial one. In addition to the consulting training we provide to our students, we want them to develop valuable business and life skills along the way. Students who perform tangible and practical work will want to continue to provide their services to nonprofits seeking assistance.

Likelihood of Implementation

Each semester, 180 Degrees Consulting strives to recruit and retain many of the brightest minds at Indiana University. Our consultants are capable of offering meaningful, realistic but sometimes also drastic solutions to address our clients’ organizational issues, thereby allowing them to generate a wider, more effective social impact. Implementation and execution are mission critical components of the 180 Degrees Experience. A client who is excited about and motivated to implement our recommendations will fair better in the application process than a client who is ill-equipped with the ability to make such changes.

Availability

The third criteria we use to select our clients is availability. Those who are willing to dedicate a higher number of hours per week to our consulting efforts will more likely be selected. This includes a client’s willingness and timeliness with respect to communications, meetings, and production of requested documents.
Disclaimer

  3. Prioritizing Issues to Research (2 weeks)
  4. Develop Issue Analysis and Analysis Plan (2-3 weeks)
  5. Conducting Analysis (3 weeks)
