IV. Recommendations 

Applicants are required to submit information for two references with their application and have the option to submit recommendation letters from those reference. If you would like to have recommendation letters submitted on your behalf please forward the form found HERE to your references for them to complete.

References may be someone who has worked with you in a professional setting, community or volunteer colleagues, college faculty and/or other personal references (not including relatives). 

 

PLEASE READ: If you choose to submit letters from your references, New Memphis accepts the electronic submission of them via the link above.  Letters are not required, and it is not mandatory that these letters be kept confidential from applicants, so please work with recommenders to determine how best to proceed with submission.  If recommenders would prefer to send their letters directly to New Memphis, they can email them to didi@newmemphis.org.



V.  Administrative Fee

The true cost of this yearlong experience is more than $7000.  However, the New Memphis Institute receives generous support from corporations, foundations, and individuals to significantly offset that cost, safeguarding a level playing field.

 

Fellows pay a $1200 administrative fee to help ensure a top quality experience.  This fee can be paid over time, and a range of payment options are available.  Unquestionably, the value of the experience far exceeds the fee. 

 

We request that Fellows pay a quarter of their fee ($300) to guarantee their spot when they are notified of their acceptance to the program.  At that time, payment options for the remainder of the fee can be arranged.
