J-PAL South Asia at IFMR/CLEAR South Asia: Evaluating Social Programmes

J-PAL South Asia’s Executive Education course is a five-day programme that provides a thorough understanding of randomised evaluations and a pragmatic step-by-step training for conducting one’s own evaluation. While the programme is centered around the why, how, and when of randomised evaluations, it will also impart insights on the importance of a needs assessment, designing a Theory of Change, measuring outcomes effectively, quality control, and monitoring methods that are useful for all kinds of evaluations.

 

Note: J-PAL's teaching method is highly interactive, and proficiency in both writing and speaking English is required for admission.

REGISTRATION and COURSE FEE PAYMENT/CANCELLATION POLICY
Payment for those accepted to the program is due NO LATER THAN 22 June, 2018. J-PAL reserves the right to release any candidate for whom payment has not been received by such time. Cancellations or deferrals must be submitted in writing up to 14 days prior to the start of the course to receive a full refund. Due to program demands and the volume of pre-program preparation, cancellations or deferrals received within 14 days prior to the start of the course are subject to a fee of one-third the program fee; within seven days are subject to two-thirds of the program fee. Cancellations or deferrals after the start of the program are subject to full payment. All subsequent cancellations or deferrals are subject to a cancellation fee.

J-PAL South Asia will confirm receipt of your application via e-mail. J-PAL will notify applicants who have been accepted to the program by 31 May, 2018. Accepted applicants who have paid the program fee by the due date will receive program materials, including a program agenda with session times and meeting rooms/sites, as well as a  list of other participants, no later than a week prior to the program start date. Any program pre-readings, surveys, etc. will be provided to you.
