STUDENT APPLICATION

CSTEP/LSAMP Additional Documentation Checklist

Have you supplied us with a copy of your financial information?

Financial documentation is required for those students who are not historically under-represented (e.g., Asian and/or Caucasian). To see if you qualify financially, please refer to the Income Guidelines below. Proof of income must be submitted to the CSTEP office before this application can be considered. This can be a copy of last year’s tax return, a Public Assistance letter, etc.

Have you supplied us with a copy of your Green Card?

If you are a non-citizen, permanent resident of the United States, as proof of that status, you have been granted a permanent resident card, commonly called a "Green Card." We need a copy of this to verify your residency status. An I-94 document is not proof of permanent residency status and does not fulfill the requirement documentation.

CSTEP Income Guidelines

The table below lists financial eligibility requirements for CSTEP admission. Any subsequent changes to these guidelines will be posted in our office. In order to be determined economically disadvantaged, a student’s household income must not exceed the amount shown for its size or the student’s circumstances must conform to one of the exceptions indicated.
