Pre-Qualification

To see if you are eligible for admissions, answer the following questions:

  1. Do you live in the D.C. area (within 70 miles of downtown Silver Spring, MD)?
  2. Are you 18 or older?
  3. Do you have a High School Diploma or GED?
  4. Are you a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.?
  5. Are you unemployed or under-employed, or can you demonstrate financial need?
  6. Are you able to commit to training Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. for the length of the program?
  7. Are you able to commit to an additional 20 hours each week to study while in training?
  8. Are you committed to obtaining professional IT skills and full-time employment in IT immediately after training?

Per Scholas’ IT Ready job training is short-term technically focused. At the end of the training, students will have sufficient understanding of computer hardware and software to earn the A+ certification.
