Under ADTRAN's definition of a disaster, this form must be used only when one of the following has occurred, or is expected to occur imminently:
- Naturally occurring weather event causing destruction or severe impairment of multiple ADTRAN devices in a geographic location, or
- Accident or man-made physical event causing destruction or severe impairment of multiple ADTRAN devices in a geographic location.
A disaster is not the result of network outage or equipment failure other than by its destruction or impairment by such an event. To report a non-disaster network outage, please use the existing, defined processes at www.adtran.com/opencase.
