This program is open to all medical students within the United States and Canada.The scholarship will provide selected recipients with a $1,000 travel stipend that will be awarded after submission of a post-meeting essay. Selected students will attend dedicated Medical Student programming at the SIR 2020 Annual Scientific Meeting on Saturday, March 28, 2020 and Sunday, March 29, 2020 in Seattle.


Medical Students are only eligible to receive the SIR Medical Student Travel Scholarship one time.

  3. One uploaded document (word or pdf) that includes answers for each of the essay questions listed in the section below.
  4. Letter of recommendation from an attending physician. (Instructions for submitting your letter of recommendation will appear on the submission confirmation page after applying for the scholarship.)
