About SALTS Gift Certificates


Gift certificates are currently only available for SALTS Summer Trips.

The amount of the gift certificate will be applied to the recipient's registration in the same way as cash when the recipient enters their gift certificate code on their Trip Request form at the time of registration. 

If the gift certificate does not cover the entire trip fee, the registrant will be responsible for the remaining balance after the gift certificate is applied. 


All trip fee payments - including through gift certificates - are subject to the same refund criteria and Cancellation Policy, however, a $25 administrative fee will be applied to any refund of gift certificate funds.


Payments made with a gift certificate will not change the registration timeline, process or requirements.


Please note: Gift certificates are not available for group trips which are arranged through schools or youth organizations, since there are no financial transactions directly between SALTS and individual group trip participants.

SALTS 2026 Trip Information


SALTS trainees must be at least 13 years of age and a maximum of 23 years of age on the first day of the trip.

The recipient of the gift certificate must register for a summer trip by submitting their Trip Request form, where they will indicate their trip choices in order of preference.

As with all registrations, trip assignments will be based on the order the Trip Request is received once registration begins on Saturday, January 17th.

2026 Total Trip Fee:   $2,916.90   (includes GST of $138.90)

You will receive a PDF gift certificate by email, which you can print to add to a card or present or forward by email to the recipient.

e-Transfer Instructions

The first time you send an e-Transfer payment to SALTS you will need to add "SALTS" as a payee, recipient or contact with the email: finance@salts.ca
Enter this Gift Certificate Code
in the "Message" field with no other words, spaces or characters.

No security question is needed, but if required for set-up use "None".

If you are not familiar with the e-Transfer function please consult the online banking website or mobile app of your financial institution.

When your e-Transfer payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email from your financial institution with a section like this:

If you have any question about the payment, contact registration@salts.ca and include the Reference Number from your bank's Interac email notification.
