180 Degrees Consulting is the world’s largest non-profit student-driven consultancy. Our mission is to strengthen the ability of socially conscious organizations to achieve high impact social outcomes through the development of innovative, practical and sustainable solutions. Teams of university students completing studies in relevant fields work throughout the year with worthwhile organizations to identify and overcome specific challenges they are facing. The following is the vision statement of the Tufts branch of 180 Degrees Consulting: Assemble passionate Tufts University students to enable nonprofit organizations to see the adjacent possible via providing practical and sustainable business minded solutions.  

We are currently recruiting Student Consultants and Team Leaders. Team Leaders will be the main communicator and organizer of a given project. The Student Consultants will work with this Team Leader and the Consulting Directors (Executive Board Members) to provide high quality innovative, sustainable and practical solutions to the given non-profit organization.

First Round - Online Application

Second Round - In Person Interview

If you have advanced into the second round, you will be scheduled for an interview with 180 Degrees Executives. These interviews will take place between January 26th - 31st. 

You will be informed of our final decisions by February 3rd. 

180 Degrees Consulting works with nonprofits in consulting areas such as human resources, financial analysis, operations, information technology, and client analysis. 

In addition to 180 Degree's training sessions, many of the projects require creative ways to research and solve an organization's issues.

The question below will help us match your interest/skills to specific projects. This question is very critical to your application. Please list as many applicable skills as possible that we may not find on your resume (feel free to use keywords instead of sentences). 

i.e. databases, digital media strategies, excel, HTML / CSS, etc.

Each consulting team meets for one hour each week at a regular time during the semester. Please list all the times that you are available to meet. 

Consultants and Team Leaders are required to:

• Attend a one-hour team meeting each week. There may be more meetings on an as-needed basis. 
• Attend bi-monthy (or monthly) 180 Degrees Consulting meetings made up of all students who are involved with the Tufts branch. 
• Perform independent research outside of team meetings (approx 6-8 hours)
• Meet with the client they are working with at least 4 times throughout the semester
• Attend all training sessions and guest speaker events hosted by 180 Degrees Consulting
