Due Date: February 4th

Hello! One of your students is applying to participate in The Woods Project Geology Summer Program and has asked you to fill out a recommendation on their behalf.

If accepted, your student will be one of 18 high-school students spending two weeks in Montana and Wyoming participating in college-level hands-on geology lessons and exploring the landscapes of beautiful Yellowstone Country. The students will be living in rustic conditions and will be engaged in challenging physical and mental activities, including a four-night backpack trip. Students will also be without their cell phones and out of touch with family and friends during the two week experience.

Students that participate in The Woods Project summer program must be mature and responsible enough to handle the challenges of being in a new place, experiencing new things and working with a diverse group of people. For this special Geology Program, they must also have an interest in earth sciences. It is very important that our students are prepared both emotionally and physically. Please answer the questions below honestly so we can know if this student is ready for a life-changing summer experience with The Woods Project.

Recommendation forms are due by February 4th.
