The specific times for the ‘burning the chametz' and 'end of Pesach' are different in each location: please check with your local authorities to be sure.

Because Pesach begins on Motzei Shabbat this year, the sale of chametz must take place on the previous Friday afternoon.

Rabbi David Stav, Chairman of Tzohar and Rabbi of the city of Shoham, Israel, will therefore sell the chametz on the Friday before Pesach, 13th Nissan, 11th April, 2025. Tzohar’s online application for the sale of chametz will close at 11:00 Israel time on that day.

While the actual sale will take place one minute before the beginning of Shabbat, the buyer is allowing sellers to use the chametz until the time that eating chametz is forbidden. Use of the chametz must cease from the time that the obligation of 'burning the chametz' begins until 30 minutes after the end of Pesach (motzei chag). At that time, possession of the chametz will revert to the seller.

The specific times for the ‘burning the chametz' and 'end of Pesach' are different in each location. Please check with your local authorities to be sure.

Wishing you a happy and kosher Pesach!
