Emergency Funds(Tuition Assistance)

Description: CCF's Emergency Fund(Tuition Assistance) provides a one-time fund (per progressive degree earned with CCF) to pay off a school debt that is directly related to the student's ability to enroll or stay enrolled in school. Typically, this fund is to assist students who have accrued fees at schools due to improper withdrawal stemming from extenuating circumstances or lack of financial aid. One-time assistance means this one-time payment will permanently resolve the issue and there must plan must be a plan in place for covering future tuition costs. For requests that exceed the $1200 maximum amount, scholarship advancement will be considered. 

Criteria: Students must complete the application below; be in good standing with CCF; and currently matriculated in a progressive degree seeking program. 

To be in good standing with the program means students: 
  • Comply with Student Rights and Responsibilities (SR&R).  
  • Remain in consistent contact with their Academic Counselor. 
  • Complete a Certification Meeting with their Academic Counselor, provide required paperwork and follow through with any referrals.  
  • Participate in at least two CCF activities per semester, including but not limited to: Community Meeting, graduation, workshops, approved policy events, volunteer for CCF Events. Additionally, students actively enrolled in another CCF program(Uplift Mentor, MultiGen, WISH, or BRACE)are only required to participate in one CCF activity per semester.  
  • Graduating Fellows must attend the CCF Graduation. 
  • Graduate students must participate in a leadership activity within CCF such as the conducting a workshop, facilitating a Community Meeting or volunteer in their community, school etc. Proof of community involvement must also be provided. 
Students are considered NOT in good standing if the aforementioned was not adhered to or completed (i.e. did not complete a Certification Meeting and/or activity requirements) for the current semester.
