Janice Oresman is known as an enthusiastic print collector with interests that range from Audubon to right off the press. Early twentieth century American artists are well-represented in her collection, including Thomas Hart Benton and Louis Lozowick. Contemporary works of Lesley Dill, Ann Hamilton, Trenton Doyle Hancock, David Hockney, William Kentridge, Elizabeth Murray and Steven Sorman are also in evidence among many others. Some of her recent acquisitions include prints by Inka Essenhigh, Leonardo Drew, Rashid Johnson, Peri Schwartz, Jackie Saccoccio, and Chuck Webster.
Ms. Oresman is a Trustee Emerita of International Print Center of New York (IPCNY), Smith College, and The Smithsonian Archives of American Art. She currently serves on the Visiting Committee of the Smith College Museum Art and The Metropolitan Museum of Art (Drawings and Prints).
