Applicants must complete CEEP application. Note: New applicants with no previous relationship to CCF MUST complete the enrollment process(Phone Screen and Intake Ready Assessment). Please click here to schedule a Phone Screen.

In order to be considered applicants must be in good standing with CCF. Being in good standing with the program means:

  • Comply with Student Rights and Responsibilities.

  • Meet with an Academic Counselor for a Certification Meeting, provide required paperwork and follow through with any referrals.

  • Participate in at least two CCF activities per semester, including but not limited to Community Meetings, workshops, CCF Policy and Advocacy Events, Volunteer for CCF Events. Please note that opportunities to volunteer are limited and not guaranteed.

The purpose of CEEP is to enhance skills in order to become employed, more employable or considered for promotion at work. The aforementioned is attained through the completion of a certificate program provided by either the continued education department at a supported higher education institution or a vetted technical career institute.

Applicant must be at least one of the following:

  • Considering college enrollment in the near future to complete a degree in the area of CEEP certification. This is applicable to participants not being able to register in school due to an outstanding debt to school, student loans in default or in need to find employment before enrolling in college. A continued education certificate alone is not the intended goal for CEEP.

  • Enrolled in college and in need to further skills to become employable upon graduation

  • Employed and in need of additional certifications to be considered for promotion.

For applicants currently enrolled in college additional factors will be considered prior to the award for CEEP funding. These factors include, but are not limited to:

·         Number of credits registered for the semester.

·         Academic performance in the previous two semesters prior to CEEP application.

Award of application is also based on availability of funding aside from meeting the criteria. Applicant must show proof that obtaining said certification will broaden the chances of being hired or being promoted. Additional information may be requested.

Currently, CEEP supports certification in the following areas:

  • Health: Phlebotomy, EKG, Certified Nurse Aid (CNA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding, Dental Hygienist, Radiology Technician, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Administrative Assistant, EGG Technician and Emergency Medical Technician.

CCF Academic Counselor's recommendation is based on the following factors:

1.       How actively the student is working with her counselor and following referrals and recommendations.

2.       How well the student meets characteristics in the ASP Student Handbook (i.e. on time for events and meetings, responds to messages in prompt and appropriate manner, dresses appropriately when attending CCF events, has a positive attitude towards program participation).
