New Museum

This fall, the New Museum will again offer its semester-long program for young people aged fifteen to nineteen. Fifteen participants will meet every Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m., from October 19 - December 21 (excluding November 23). The ten-session program, now in its ninth season, offers youth the chance to learn about contemporary art, engage directly with artists, and participate in intimate, critical discussions about culture. Through close work with peers and interactive workshops, participants have the opportunity to collaborate meaningfully with artists-in-residence at the New Museum.

This season, the Experimental Study Program will explore GENDER as a theme, considering how more fluid representations of gender identity forces us to consider relationships between the body, power, race, class and disability

The Museum seeks applications from youth who are curious about contemporary art and enthusiastic about connecting with other teens.

The Experimental Study Program is free.
