Agreement to Terms
Please read each statement carefully; then check the box provided with each to signify understanding and agreement to the terms of use. Failure to agree to all terms will declare this application null and void.
AACE International grants SECTION a one-time use license of AACE International’s copyrighted Certification Review Course presentation materials. SECTION may not reuse, sell or transfer these materials, in part or in whole.
This agreement by SECTION is for the expressed purpose as denoted below on the signature page.
SECTION understands and agrees that as an AACE International Certification Review Course, SECTION must utilize AACE certified instructors. That is, for a CCP Certification Review Course, the primary instructor must hold a current CCP certification from AACE International. For the CEP, EVP, and PSP Certification Review Courses, the primary instructor must hold a current certification for that specific course, unless specifically granted permission from the Education Board. An instructor holding a current CCP certification may teach the CEP, EVP, or PSP Certification Review Courses; however, the resume of the instructor must be submitted to the Education Board for review and approval. Furthermore, SECTION agrees not to use these materials to “teach the test.”
All AACE copyrighted material is not to be resold, repackaged (including Collective or Derivative Works), or given to others without the expressed, prior written consent of AACE International.
SECTION and its affiliates agrees to not create any derivative works from the material provided.
SECTION may, at its option and its expense, provide attendees printed or electronic handouts of the presentation materials. Regardless of how provided, SECTION must ensure that all materials are properly marked as copyrighted AACE materials, and must provide those materials in a Portable Document Format (PDF) only. Additionally, at the beginning of the training, SECTION must remind all attendees of the copyright and their duty to respect that copyright. The misuse of copyrighted materials will be considered a violation of the AACE International Canons of Ethics and, if proven, will be grounds for action by AACE International up to and including possible revocation of membership or certification and legal action.
SECTION agrees to remit an initial payment of $250.00 USD to be granted access to the Seminar-in-a-Box instructional material. The fee must be remitted to AACE International Headquarters once this application is approved and an invoice generated and received by SECTION. SECTION also agrees to remit a fee of $25.00 USD per person or 10% of the total seminar proceeds to AACE International Headquarters upon completion of the seminar.
AACE International will release the Certification Review Course slides to SECTION no more than 60 days prior to the confirmed date of the course.
SECTION may order resource materials from AACE International’s designated vendor. SECTION may return unused and undamaged materials to the designated vendor in accordance with the vendor’s return policy.
SECTION will be required to provide an attendance list from the event that includes email addresses.
SECTION is encouraged to provide the Education Board with comments and suggestions to improve the quality of each course (Send comments/suggestions to education@aacei.org). It is the intent of the Education Board to provide quality educational material; this is accomplished through a continual quality check of our course materials.
All disputes related to this Agreement are to be resolved through binding arbitration and governed by West Virginia law, with venue in West Virginia.
