This seminar is for both faculty and graduate students. Faculty… attend and learn how to coach students in preparing a fellowship application and encourage them to attend this important workshop. Graduate students… attend the workshop and learn strategies to persuade review panelists to award you a graduate fellowship.  This seminar will focus on the core elements of a successful fellowship application, with an emphasis on student essays (Personal, Relevant Background and Future Goals Essays and Research Plan Essays) and persuasive reference letters.  And Dr. Bruce will provide insights into a typical fellowship review/selection process as well as tips for finding fellowship opportunities.  The prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship deadlines are Oct 23-27 (depending on field of study), so this is a perfect time to learn how to write a winning fellowship application!
