NAMT membership is open to professional producing organizations in several categories. Dues are based on what category of theatre you are and, in some cases, your musical theatre box office income. Use this form to calculate your organization's membership dues.

Producing Theatres
Dues for producing theatres are based on a percentage of musical theatre box office income, with a minimum dues amount of $1,060 and a maximum dues amount of $7,400. A very small number of organizations will incur additional dues based on budget size (waived for 2021-2022).

Our membership year runs from May 1 through April 30. Your initial dues will be prorated from the date NAMT completes the application process, after which all members are billed on May 1. Each spring, we ask for your box office information from the most recently completed fiscal year or season. This update is required before we can invoice you each year.

Independent Commercial Producers
Dues for organizations whose primary activity is commercial producing are fixed at $1,200 per year.

Our membership year runs from May 1 through April 30. Your initial dues will be prorated from the date NAMT completes the application process, after which all members are billed on May 1.

Tour Bookers and Producers
Dues for organizations whose primary activity is touring are fixed at $3,200 per year.

Our membership year runs from May 1 through April 30. Your initial dues will be prorated from the date NAMT completes the application process, after which all members are billed on May 1.

Tour Presenting Houses
Dues for organizations whose primary activity is touring are fixed at $3,200 per year.

Academic
Dues for academic institutions are fixed at $725 per year.

Developers
Dues for developing organizations are fixed at $900 per year.

Our membership year runs from May 1 through April 30. Your initial dues will be prorated from the date NAMT completes the application process, after which all members are billed on May 1.

International
Dues for organizations outside of North America are fixed at $675 US per year.

Associate Members
Associate Membership is a limited personal membership designed for individual theatre professionals who do not meet criteria for organizational membership: agents, casting directors, investors, musical theatre writers whose work has been produced by professional producing organizations or published by professional publishers/licensing houses, press and other theatre professionals at the discretion of the membership committee and board of directors. Associate Membership is intended for theatre professionals who are not eligible to be full members. Employees of organizations that qualify for full membership are encouraged to apply under the auspices of their organizations.

Dues for Associate Members are $475 per year.

Our membership year runs from May 1 through April 30. Associate Members are billed full dues when joining in the first half of the year and half dues in the second half of the year. Subsequently all members are billed on May 1.


Student Members
Student Membership is a personal membership designed for current undergraduate and graduate students studying theatre management, arts administration, producing, theatre production or similar fields.

Dues for Associate Members are $90 per year.

Our membership year runs from May 1 through April 30. Your initial dues payment is required to activate your membership upon receipt of an invoice from us (once we finish processing your application), after which all members are billed on May 1.
