How You Can Get Involved (check as many as you'd like)

  • After-School Tutoring: Helping students with their homework, covering all subjects. At 826 Boston, Monday through Thursday, 4:00pm -6:45pm.
  • Evening Tutoring: Helping high school students with homework, covering all subjects. STEM tutors needed! At 826 Boston, Monday and Wednesday, 6:15pm-8:15pm.
  • In-Schools Projects: Working with classes in local schools. Various locations, typically weekday mornings and afternoons.
  • Field Trips: Lead or assist with our Storytelling & Bookmaking Field Trips
  • Workshops: Design, co-lead, or assist on creative writing workshops. At 826 Boston and in local schools, typically weekday morings and afternoons.
  • Event Team: Help plan fundraisers, volunteer gatherings, and more! Various places and times.

As a condition of volunteering, I give permission for 826 Boston to conduct a background check on me, which may include a review of sex offender registries, child abuse, and criminal activity records. I understand that, if appointed, my position is conditional upon the staff at 826 Boston receiving no inappropriate information on my background. I hereby release and agree to hold harmless from liability to 826 Boston, the employees and volunteers thereof, or any person or organization that may provide such information.

I hereby grant to 826 Boston, and its authorized agents, vendors, officers, directors, employees, licensees, affiliates, successors, and assigns the non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, world-wide right and license to use, reproduce, display, perform, edit, create derivative works of, and distribute, in whole or in part, any photographs and/or recordings taken by me during activities sponsored by 826 Boston, for any purpose, in any and all manner or media now known or hereinafter developed.

I acknowledge that I also understand that 826 Boston appreciates me and my enthusiasm, but I also acknowledge that 826 Boston is not obligated to appoint me to a volunteer position.
