Religious Leaders seeking a sabbatical opportunity with the UU College of Social Justice must:

  • Be in Final Fellowship with the UUA and a member in good standing of the UUMA
  • Be planning a sabbatical during the next 24 months
  • Submit a complete application at least 6 months before the sabbatical placement begins
  • Carry health insurance applicable in overseas settings
  • If working with children or the elderly during sabbatical placement, must successfully pass a CORI background check

Once a complete application is received, a phone interview will be scheduled with UUCSJ staff or UUA International Office staff. Financial assistance is awarded based on need and on availability of funds.
