Every day in San Diego County, very low-income families, students, veterans, military households, the elderly and the disabled rely on CalFresh to put food on their tables. The average CalFresh allotment per person in San Diego County is only $4.18 per day or $20.92 for 5 days. Take the CalFresh Challenge from May 8 -12 for and live on this extremely low food budget for 1 day or all 5 days and share your experience using #CalFreshChallenge to raise awareness about hunger in our community.
Want to make an even bigger impact? Fundraise during the Challenge to help more San Diego families access the food they need. Click here to create your fundraising page.
Participants who raise $100 or more toward the 2017 CalFresh Challenge will receive a San Diego Hunger Coalition tote bag - a small token of our appreciation for your support. Top fundraisers will also receive a prize pack of donations from our generous community partners.
Can't participate this year? Donate to the San Diego Hunger Coalition to support the fight against hunger!
