2) Why you are interested in participating in this FLO (be sure to research the FLO and be specific!)
3) How you will prepare to be a successful participant, if selected (this may include academic preparation, fundraising, commitment in the face of obstacles, etc.)

NOLS, Colorado Outward Bound,and Glassell Junior School have specific courses or sessions. A successful application clearly identifies which course the applicant is interested in taking.

Disorganized and/or ungrammatical essays will hurt your chances of selection.

Please write a 3-5 paragraph letter outlining the following: (1) What extracurricular activities/groups you are involved with (2) Your future plans and career considerations, including any impacts you want to have on the world (3) What do you hope to gain by attending the Engineering Scholars Program (4) Anything else you feel the review committee should know in considering your application.
