Deadline to Apply - August 22, 2017
You are reading this sentence because you are an up-and-coming leader in the Traverse City Area community. That much we know.

What we do not know is if you are ready to take the next step by committing to an intense and unique four month long program in which you will interact with local leading minds, and engage in answering challenging questions facing the Grand Traverse region. In the end, you would be connected and integrated into society as a leader.

Interested? Please complete the formal application below.  All applications will be considered for acceptance into the program and reviewed by the Leadership Grand Traverse Advisory Council.  Please put thoughtful effort into your responses.  Your application is all the council knows about you.

Leadership Grand Traverse is a valuable program that prepares participants for decision-making leadership roles in areas such as policy, program implementation, and organizational growth. Think of some of the major assets of our region, such as natural resources, parks and recreation, transportation, and agriculture, just to name a few. These selling points did not just happen. It took leaders in decades gone by to lead these initiatives when they were merely ideas or decisions to be made.

This valuable program, however, comes with a commitment that is non-negotiable. The expectation and requirement is that you are fully engaged in the entire process. This ensures that graduation accurately signifies a polished leader, ready to get down to the business of building community.

The Fall 2017 Leadership Grand Traverse program will run from September thru November with the following schedule.  Before completing this application, please consider that attendance at each session is mandatory.  Session dates are below.

With the exception of opening and closing retreats, time for day sessions are 8:00 - 12:00 p.m.  An optional networking lunch follows from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.

Attendance is mandatory at all of these events. Still interested? If so, then we are interested in finding out more about you. Please sign below to indicate that you agree to the mandatory attendance required by the Leadership Grand Traverse program.

I support and approve of the time commitment necessary for the applicant to participate in the Chamber's Leadership Grand Traverse program.
