"Get Ready" Grants are restricted to artists working in craft disciplines
To be eligible for a “Get Ready” Grant, applicants must be a practicing artist with an ongoing history of producing a body of work in a craft discipline or disciplines (such as a potter, metalsmith, glass artist, woodworker, fiber artist, basket maker, or  furniture maker). Others are not eligible.

CERF only provides assistance to artists who have been residing and working in the U.S. or U.S. Territories for the last two years.

Get Ready Grant Project Proposal


Enter amount requested (Whole numbers only...No "$" sign, decimal point, space characters, etc.). "500" maximum for Get Ready grants.
Project proposals may be provided in writing (400 word maximum) or via video (3 minute maximum).

NOTE: As the purpose of “Get Ready” Grant projects is to encourage artists to safeguard their studios, protect their careers, implement other safety measures, and build COVID career resilience, proposed projects that have another focus such as producing artwork or enhancing the artistic capabilities of the applicant are not eligible. In addition to filling out the application, you must provide supporting documentation.


Please upload: your resume or a narrative detailing your accomplishments as an artist working in a craft discipline; 5 high resolution images of artwork you have created in the past three years; and a photograph of yourself in your studio, at your booth at a show, teaching, or otherwise engaged in your artistic practice. A maximum of 8 files can be uploaded. There is a page for each file being uploaded. No uploaded file can be more than 10MB and all files being uploaded cannot total more than 20MB. Files will be uploaded upon submitting the application.
