2017–2018 | Common Sense Educator - Part I

Welcome! Here you can take the first step to apply to be a Common Sense Educator. We're excited you're on your way to joining our community of educators who build positive cultures of digital citizenship and effective digital teaching in their schools and districts!

In order to become a Common Sense Educator, you'll pursue learning and implementation for digital teaching and digital citizenship. Check out the detailed program requirements here. It's a two-step application process, and criteria should take approximately four to six hours to complete. Start now by completing Part 1 of the application, in which you'll share a link to your profile on Common Sense Education and join our educator community.

After submitting the application below, you will receive an email with a unique ID number. Important! Keep this ID handy, as you will need it in order to submit Part 2. Please be sure to add edsupport@commonsense.org to your "whitelist", "safe" or permitted email sender list.

Register with Common Sense Education and provide the link to your profile. 

If you're already registered, be sure your profile is up to date. Your profile MUST include:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • About Me
  • Location
  • My School
  • Grades you teach (if applicable)
  • Subjects that you teach (if applicable)
  • Your Specific Role

Your Common Sense Education profile must be complete for your application to be reviewed.

Start typing your full school name (Ex: Lincoln Elementary School) and select from the results. Please don't use acronyms. If your school name and address doesn't load, delete your entry and continue to "Did you have trouble finding your school?".
