We do our best to help teachers get their students out of the classroom for field trips by greatly subsidizing the cost of providing our programs. Our program fees are per class and are based on a school’s free and reduced lunch percentage. (Find yours here).

Schools are responsible for arranging their own transportation.

The Greenway Trust has limited funding to reimburse bus costs for schools with a free or reduced lunch rate of at least 50%. If you are eligible, more information will be included in your confirmation letter. 
King County provides a limited number of free Wheels to Water buses to transport students to Greenway field trips. Eligible schools have a free and reduced lunch rate of 35% or higher. The buses carry 40 or 70 passengers. Click here to read Metro's safety protocols.
