Each curriculum includes 5 parts: an introductory lesson (taught by the district teacher), a classroom lesson, field study trip, stewardship event, and reflective classroom lesson.

We will be in touch soon to schedule dates.

Program Cost
We do our best to help teachers get their students out of the classroom for field trips by greatly subsidizing the cost of providing our programs. Our program fees are per class and are based on a school’s free and reduced lunch percentage. (Find yours here).

Transportation
Schools are responsible for arranging their own transportation to the field study trip.

King County provides a limited number of free Wheels to Water buses to transport students to Greenway field trips. Eligible schools have a free and reduced lunch rate of 35% or higher. The buses carry 40 or 70 passengers. Click here to read Metro's safety protocols. If you would like to apply for a Wheels to Water bus, check the box below and Becca Kedenburg will let you know know what the next steps are.

Service-Learning Stewardship Events

Schools are responsible for arranging their own transportation to the service-learning stewardship event.

Each year, the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust makes available a limited amount of funding to reimburse schools participating in service-learning stewardship events for bus rental costs. To be eligible for reimbursement, schools must have a free and reduced lunch rate of 50% or higher. If you would like to receive reimbursement, check the box below and Becca Kedenburg will let you know what the next steps are.
