CPE Mentor Application 2019


Thank you for your interest in mentoring with Capital Partners for Education (CPE). 

CPE mentors low-income high school and college students in the academic middle from the Washington, D.C. area to provide the skills and experiences they need to successfully complete college and to excel in the workforce.

Please complete this application. Volunteers who meet the mentoring requirements will be invited for an in-person interview with CPE staff.

CPE requires its mentors agree to:
  1. commit to building a mentoring relationship for at least one year. CPE will support your relationship with your mentee and be there to help you build that relationship.
  2. meet with your mentee in-person once every two weeks. This can be on your own schedule or during CPE events, whichever works best for you and your mentee.
  3. speak with your mentee by phone, Skype, or FaceTime at least once a week to check in and to maintain their relationships.
  4. find a time to check in with CPE by phone once every two weeks. You will speak directly to the Program Coordinator who supports both you and your mentee.
