9/9/17 Buckeye Creek Watershed Litter Cleanup at Chouteau Crossings & Chaumiere Woods Park

Saturday, September 9th
9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Help us clean up litter around the Chouteau Crossings shopping center and prevent it from ending up in Buckeye Creek, which flows into the Missouri River! Volunteers will collect litter in pairs and record information on the types of litter we find.  This data will be used to educate the area businesses about how they can prevent litter from going into area waterways.

At the workday, we'll share some information about this watershed, have a short training, and clean up litter in the parking lots on both sides of Chouteau Trafficway and along a stretch of the creek to the west of Chouteau. If time permits, we'll also clean up around the pond in Chaumiere Woods Park.  Come be a part of this exciting new project!

All volunteers will receive a snazzy "volunteer" t-shirt!

We will provide litter grabbers, safety vests, trash bags and gloves.
