Sylvia Jones Legacy Scholarship (for mid-career teachers)
The application form for the Sylvia Jones Scholarship for mid-career teachers scholarship will be available sometime in March. Click HERE to see if the form is ready.

This is a partial scholarship to help teachers defray the cost of attending the Summer Seminar. Qualified applicants will be selected by the Summer Seminar co-directors. Awards have been as much as $200. Recipients will be advised of the exact amount upon notification.

Sidney Gorman Endowment Scholarship (for beginning teachers)

NOTE:
Qualified applicants will be selected by lottery. Awards are expected to be as much as $500. Recipient will be advised of the exact amount upon notification. Upon completion of the event, the recipient will submit receipts for expenses to CLTA Treasurer (treasurer@clta.net) for reimbursement up to the amount awarded. Allowable expenses are registration, hotel, meals, and transportation to the CLTA Conference.

CLTA TOY 2027
Dear CLTA Member:

Do you meet the requirements to apply to be the CLTA Teacher of the Year?

Eligibility:
  1. Be a current member of CLTA.
  2. Have previously been awarded the CLTA Outstanding Teacher Award OR the CLTA Teacher-Leader Award
  3. Meet the current ACTFL Toy Guidelines
To apply to be the 2027 CLTA TOY you will need to submit the following by May 22, 2026
  1. The 2027 TOY Application FORM where you will up load the following:  
    1. CLTA TOY Cover Sheet *
    2. High-quality headshot *
    3. Curriculum Vitae* (no more than five (5) pages)
    4. Personal statement on your philosophy of learning and assessing languages and developing cultural competence for all learners* (Limit: two pages, double-spaced, standard 12-point font)
* This will help you with your TOY portfolio if you are chosen as the CLTA TOY)
