Y2Y Harvard Square Long-Term Bed Lottery Entry

Y2Y Harvard Square is a shelter for young adults (18-24) experiencing homelessness. Y2Y runs the long-term lottery once daily in the morning. You will be notified via email of your lottery results; please be sure to check your email or call Y2Y between 7:00 PM and 8:15 AM for your lottery result. Service providers, teachers, lawyers, or any other adult who has a professional relationship with a young person in need of a place to stay may enter this form on their behalf with the consent of the lottery applicant. The shelter will be open for the summer season from the evening of June 15th, 2026 to the morning of August 5th, 2026. Y2Y is located at 1 Church St., Cambridge, MA 02138. Y2Y's phone number is 617-864-0795. For guests who've stayed with us before, please note that Y2Y will be piloting a series of changes this summer. It is strongly encouraged that you take a moment to review the following updates:

Guests who receive a bed will be required to make contact with Y2Y or arrive at our shelter that night. Failure to do so will result in automatic termination of your bed assignment and you will be required to re-enter our long-term lottery.
For guests who receive a bed but are unable to come in that night, guests will be provided a one-night extension to arrive at Y2Y to begin their stay ONLY if they have made prior contact. Again, failure to do so will result in automatic termination of your bed assignment and you will be required to re-enter our long-term lottery.
Guests who receive a bed must arrive at Y2Y by 9PM each night or make contact with the shelter. The final curfew to be in the shelter is 10:45 PM; please note that Y2Y cannot allow entry for any guests past 10:45 PM.
Y2Y's guests will be allotted a maximum of five (5) nights outside the shelter per 30 days, ONLY IF the guest makes contact each of those nights. Guests who spend six (6) or more nights outside of Y2Y will automatically forfeit their bed. Please note, if you fail to make contact with Y2Y for three (3) consecutive nights after you begin your stay, your bed will be rescinded.
Y2Y will NOT run the Emergency Bed (e-bed) or Last-Call lotteries for one-night stays this summer.
