KTB Affiliate Recognition
To complete the 2018 Annual Report & Recognition click on the "NEXT PAGE" button below. After you begin the form, you have the ability to save it and resume later. Please save often to prevent losing what you have entered! After you complete and submit, a copy of the completed report will be emailed to the email address provided on the form. 

To remain in Good Standing with KTB, affiliates must annually submit a report, pay affiliate dues, attend at least 4 hours of training, and participate in at least one KTB-endorsed activity. Communities who seek to go above and beyond the established requirements, can receive Silver or Gold Star recognition.  Review the complete list of 2018 Affiliate Recognition Requirements on the Affiliate Portal.


Official Affiliates completing all requirements, including the annual report, dues, training and activity participation by March 16, 2018 will be recognized as achieving at least Good Standing status for the reporting period. 


*Provisional Affiliates must have completed all requirements for official status prior to March 16, 2018 to be eligible for Good Standing, Silver or Gold Star recognition.

TRAINING AND ACTIVITY PARTICIPATION

KTB requires a representative from each affiliate to attend minimum of 4 hours training annually to achieve Good Standing status. In addition to KTB sponsored workshops and conference, we will accept training provided by our partner agencies.  If you are unsure if a training will qualify, please contact KTB.

Affiliates are also required to participate in one KTB endorsed activity in a KTB focus area (beautification, waste reduction, litter prevention) during the reporting period of January 1 - December 31, 2017.

We accept training provided by several partner agencies, including TxDOT, TCEQ, TANO, TML, Texas Downtown Association, PTA, local Councils of Government, KAB, EPA, Texas Forest Service, and TPWD. Please note date, location and workshop attended.

Page 8 - AFFILIATE RECOGNITION

KTB affiliates may receive Good Standing, Silver Star or Gold Star recognition on an annual basis (the KTB reporting period runs on the calendar year). Most grant and funding opportunities offered by KTB require a minimum of Good Standing. 

Please review the 2018 overview of annual requirements for recognition below:


GOOD STANDING:

  • Pay $150 annual dues by 3/16/2018
  • Complete and submit the KTB Annual Report online by 3/16/2018
  • Participate in one KTB endorsed activity/event in 2017 (i.e. Don't mess with Texas Trash-Off, Arbor Day Event, America Recycles Day, Great American Cleanup, Fall Sweep, etc.)
  • Attend 4 hours of approved training in 2017 (i.e. 2017 KTB conference sessions, KTB regional training, KTB webinars and/or with approval, other outside sources such as KAB seminars/webinars)


SILVER STAR recognition:

  • All requirements for Good Standing met.
  • Must complete ONE of the following options:
  • Submission of 2017 GCAA application
  • Submission of TWO 2017 KTB Award applications (can be a combination of KTB Award - Individual/Organization applications and/or KTB Award - Youth/Educator applications)
  • Complete SILVER STAR questions


GOLD STAR recognition:

  • All requirements for Good Standing met.
  • Letter of Support:  Provide a letter from an elected official, civic group, business, or youth group that describes the value of your affiliate to the community. The letter must be dated between 1/1/2018 and 3/16/2018 and be written on letterhead.  Letter may be scanned and attached to this form, emailed or mailed to the KTB office.
  • Must complete TWO of the following FOUR options.
    • Submission of 2017 GCAA application
    • Submission of TWO 2017 KTB Award applications (can be a combination of KTB Award - Individual/Organization applications and/or KTB Award - Youth/Educator applications)
    • Complete SILVER STAR QUESTIONS
    • Complete GOLD STAR QUESTIONS
    • Are a Keep America Beautiful Affiliate in Good Standing.
Responses to questions must be descriptive, substantive, and, where applicable, quantitative.
