2018–19 cycle at SOMArts Cultural Center

The purpose of the Curatorial Residency is to provide emerging curators with the support and mentorship they need to execute a large-scale exhibition in SOMArts’ Main Gallery. The residency is designed to offer artists and curators tools to further their curatorial practice.

The strongest proposals are those who serve SOMArts’ mission of leveraging the power of art as a tool for social change.

The online application must be completed in one sitting. We strongly advise saving your answers in a separate document as a reference, and pasting them into the form when you are ready to submit.

Click here for the residency guidelines: http://www.somarts.org/curatorialresidencies2017/ .

Submission deadline is November 21, 2017 at 5pm. Please apply early in case of questions or technical difficulty. Questions should be directed to Carolina Quintanilla, SOMArts' Curatorial Partnerships Manager, at gallery@somarts.org.

Eligibility requirements are online at http://www.somarts.org/exhibitions/submissions-faq/.
