BJE Impact Microgrant Application 2017 - 2018

BJE/LAJTI

Thank you for your interest in applying for a BJE Impact Microgrant! These grants are intended to help further the work of organizations to engage Jewish teens (ages 13 and above) in Service Learning programming.

Note, this application should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete. This is also a rolling application, so please feel free to apply anytime during the 2016-2017 academic year. Please review the following information before submitting an application:

We intend these grants to help support the growth of existing programs or to fuel new ones by helping provide funding for expenses such as buses to service projects or to cover donation/program fees to service organizations for the cost of a large volunteer project. The maximum grant amount is $2000, though we anticipate the average grant to be $700 (i.e., the cost of two buses for a day's service learning program).

In order to qualify for a BJE Impact Microgrant, applicants must:

  • Serve Jewish teens ages 13 and above.
  • Include all aspects of Jewish Service Learning--learning, action, and reflection components in your program. If your program does not currently include these components, BJE Impact will provide free consultation/support to help build these into your service learning program. For a description of BJE Impact's Learning/Action/Reflection approach, please read more here.
  • Share your learning/reflection programs for the BJE Impact program bank in order benefit our collective work in the field.
  • Complete a short evaluation survey following implementation.

Following submission of this application, a BJE Impact staff member will be in touch with you to discuss next steps.
