New Sector offers two Fellowship Tracks:
(1) Career Track: Fellows apply to work at a New Sector partner organization (host site) in either the Twin Cities or Chicago. Fellows can begin working in their new role immediately, and then will participate in New Sector’s professional development program, including training, mentoring, peer learning teams, and individual coaching sessions from February - August of 2021. While participating in the RISE program, Fellows are hired as full-time employees of their host organization and receive a salary and health benefits from their employer. Participation in this option is contingent upon finding and matching with a suitable job available.
(2) Professional Development Track: This year’s RISE professional development track is for applicants who are already employed full-time by a mission-driven organization and have up to 10 years of work experience. Because the 2021 RISE Fellowship will be virtual, Fellows may be geographically located anywhere. Fellows apply to participate in New Sector’s professional development program from February - August 2021.
To cover costs, New Sector charges a $1,500 tuition fee to participate in this program. Some scholarships are available, so we encourage all high potential leaders working for mission-driven organizations in our programming sites to apply if you’re interested in joining a cohort of New Sector Fellows for professional development and networking.
