Before you begin your workshop registration, please make sure you have the following:
  1. A $500 nonrefundable deposit payable by credit card. The payment balance is due in full by August 17, 2018.

Workshop Fees
Workshop fees are in US dollars and include the following:

Bring your own tent, sleeping bag and towel. Camping platforms are provided and a dedicated bath and shower facility. Limited availability

The total fees for the workshop include tuition, lodging, meals, field trips, airport transportation(at a set time) from the Atlanta, Georgia Airport (ATL) and administration. The workshop allows for all participants to be onsite contributing to the complete experience. The pricing is a package offering and cannot be discounted to remove lodging or meals. Participants are responsible for the cost of airfare to and from the Atlanta, Georgia Airport (ATL), any needed lodging and transportation before and after the workshop and optional travel insurance.
If you are eligible for any discounts, those will be automatically calculated within this registration process. All discounts have limited availability, are offered on a first-come, first serve basis, and may not be combined.
  • Student discount - Enrolled university students save $250. Must upload copy of current student ID upon registration. 
  • Biomimicry Global Network member discount - Members of a local Biomimicry Global Network save $250. Must upload brief, written endorsement from local network leader upon registration.
  • Group Discounts - Groups of 3 or more receive a tuition discount. Email workshops@biomimicry.net to receive a discount code.

Student agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Biomimicry 3.8 and its directors, officers, employees, agents, consultants, stockholders and affiliates from and against any and all losses, damages, injuries, obligations, liabilities, demands, actions, suits, settlements, judgements, claims, costs and expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorney's fees and costs), whether or not involving a third party claim, arising out of, based upon or resulting from, directly or indirectly, Student's participation in the Program. Student also agrees that if any portion of this Indemnification is held to be invalid the balance, notwithstanding, shall continue in full force and effect. 

Cancellation and Workshop Fee Refund Policy
If a registrant’s participation in the workshop should need to be terminated or cancelled due to an emergency situation and reasons accepted by Biomimicry 3.8, such as a medical or family emergency, refunding of tuition will be considered under the following terms: Cancellation will be recognized in a formal letter to Biomimicry 3.8 from the registrant. The registrant may send the letter via electronic format, but must be dated and signed. In the case of cancellation by the registrant, a partial refund or credit toward a future workshop may be considered on a case-by-case basis taking into account costs incurred by Biomimicry 3.8. Deposits are due upon registration and are non-refundable. The initial deposit amount is not refundable under any circumstances other than cancellation by Biomimicry 3.8. If the registrant decides to terminate their workshop participation for reasons that could have been prevented or are resolvable, such as errors in time management or poor financial planning, workshop fee refunds will not be permitted. Registrants are responsible for the knowledge of and securing any required visas for attending the workshop. Inability to attend the workshop due to lack of a visa is not grounds for a refund. When a registrant registers in the workshop, it is with a full understanding of the registrant’s local embassy processing policies and timelines. No refunds will be offered if registrant cancels after the registration deadline. If the workshop is cancelled by Biomimicry 3.8, workshop fees will be refunded in full.

Intellectual Property

The student grants Biomimicry 3.8 permission to use all work performed by the students as demonstrative materials for educational and promotional purposes and may invite the student to more openly share the work to the broader Biomimicry 3.8 network and Biomimicry 3.8 initiatives. The students otherwise own their work completed in the program. In the case of team projects, ownership of work products is equally shared amongst the individuals of the team.

Photo/Video Release

I hereby authorize Biomimicry 3.8 the rights to use, reproduce, and/or publish photographs and/or video that may pertain to me—including my image, likeness and/or voice—without compensation. I understand that this material may be used in various publications, public affairs releases, recruitment materials, broadcast public service advertising (PSAs) or for other related endeavors. This material may also appear on Biomimicry 3.8’s webpage or any workshop sponsor's webpage. This authorization is continuous and may only be withdrawn by my specific rescission of this authorization. Consequently, Biomimicry 3.8 and/or any workshop sponsor may publish materials, use my name, photograph, and/or make reference to me in any manner that Biomimicry 3.8 and/or any workshop sponsor deems appropriate in order to promote/publicize service opportunities.

I do permit and authorize Biomimicry 3.8 to use any and all images, diagrams, illustrations or video that I share with them via Biomimicry 3.8 associated platforms(email, image transfer service, etc.). I represent and warrant that these images are original and created by me and that I have the right and authority to enter into this agreement. I permit Biomimicry 3.8 to use my images without photographer attribution for purposes related to the mission of Biomimicry 3.8, including publicity, marketing, and promotion of Biomimicry 3.8 and it's various programs(including use on public sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn). I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product, ora any material in which Biomimicry 3.8 may eventually use my image.


THIS CONTRACT IS A BINDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN BIOMIMICRY 3.8 AND THE REGISTRANT. KEEP A COPY FOR YOUR RECORDS. You will be given the opportunity to print the entire form to PDF on the next page.

Lodging Options
All fees are in USD and are payable to Biomimicry 3.8. The total fees for the workshop include tuition, lodging, meals, airport transportation from the Atlanta airport(at a set time), field trips, and administration through workshop open and close. Participants are required to to stay on-site during the program and as such lodging and meal fees are non-negotiable. Participants are responsible for the cost of airfare to and from the Atlanta, Georgia (ATL) airport as well as any needed lodging and ground transportation before and after the program and optional travel insurance.

  • Registration is not complete until the non-refundable deposit on the next page is received by Biomimicry 3.8. 
  • In the unlikely case that the workshop is cancelled by Biomimicry 3.8 due to insufficient registration numbers, your deposit will be refunded in full. The workshop will be confirmed on or before August 10, 2018. Please do not purchase flights until you receive confirmation.
  • Final payment instructions will be emailed to registrants on or before August 10, 2018 and full payment will be due by August 17.
