Lead mentors will be engaged throughout the entire course of the 12 week program. Lead mentors can expect to provide about 15 hours of support through workshops, in-person meetings, phone calls and email exchanges. Beginning Week 1, they will work closely with their organization and mentor them as they validate their business model, understand customer feedback, develop financial models and perfect their pitch. Lead mentors will be invited and encouraged to attend both the semi final round pitch event and final pitch event in June.
Subject Matter Expert Mentor:
Subject matter expert mentors will be introduced in the program a few weeks in, as the organizations are fleshing out their marketing and sales strategies, building operational plans and learning how to communicate their impact. Subject matter experts will act as consultants in areas such as business planning/strategy, finance, HR/operations, marketing, fundraising, and technology. Additionally, they will help participants refine their pitches and prepare to compete in the "shark tank-style" pitch event! SME mentors can expect to donate 8-10 hours over 8 weeks of the program.
