Work outdoors on a supervised team with seven other young people to complete physically challenging projects like staircases and retaining walls for parks and community spaces. Applicants must be willing to work in all types of summer weather, must work well with a team, and be committed to coming to work on time on scheduled days. Transportation is provided from designated pick-up points for most work sites, however you should be prepared to find your own transportation to and from the work site each day if that is not the case.
Conservation Crew Requirements:
- Be able to work on a crew with a ratio of one staff to eight youth
- Be outside for 8 continuous hours
- Be able to stand for up to two continuous hours
- Be able to lift 15 pounds above the head
