Applications for the 2021 cohort are open, and will be reviewed from January 2020 onwards. Please answer the questions below to help us to understand your motivations, experiences, and achievements in relation to the Teach First NZ Programme.

To be eligible candidates must:
  • either be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • must have completed at least a Bachelors degree by the start of the programme
  • must meet the subject eligibility requirements in at least one of subjects by the start of the programme
  • must not have received a TeachNZ scholarship in the past 
  • not hold a teaching qualification that allows them to teach in New Zealand Secondary School
