Thanks to the generosity of Waste Connections, the workshop is free to attend and includes a small stipend to assist with any travel and hotel costs.
Eligibility Requirements
The Waste In Place Train-the-Trainer workshop is meant for experienced formal and non-formal educators looking for an opportunity to learn new material to take back and train other educators in their community and surrounding area. Trainers must have previously attended a Waste In Place workshop.
Trainers agree to the following:
Co-lead a workshop with a current trainer within 9 months of completing the trainer workshop.
Submit all required data (evaluations, wrap up report, etc.) on each workshop conducted to KTB within 2 weeks of the workshop, utilizing the pre-approved materials.
Agree that any trainer fee and reimbursement will be based on the fee and reimbursement schedule approved and provided by KTB.
Agree to wait for approval by KTB before receiving payment for training.
Agree to train on a statewide basis with emphasis on the region where s/he lives for a minimum of 2 years from the date of the trainer workshop.
Follow all KTB and KAB policies for using Waste In Place curricula.
Not use workshops as a forum to express personal environmental or political positions.
The application deadline is June 8, 2018. Applicants selected to participate in the training will be notified by June 22nd.
Waste In Place Train-the-Trainer made available with funding from Waste Connections.
