NAMT is heading to the Twin Cities for the 2018 New Works Roundtable! In between opening night for Ordway Center for the Performing Arts’ Mamma Mia and Theater Latté Da’s NEXT Festival, NAMT members and Festival alumni will spend a day discussing new musical development.
This year at the New Works Roundtable we will examine best practices to cultivate new musicals in your community. With an eye towards new work development, we’ll explore ways to foster local talent and build community among local artists; discuss case studies on building regional new work development programs; and share ways to maximize local partnerships and engage your communities.
The Roundtable will kick off at 6:00pm on July 19th at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. Friday, July 20th, we will be near Theater Latté Da for a full day of panels followed by the NEXT Festival presentation of Gun & Powder.
The cost of attendance for the Roundtable is only $80 for NAMT Members and Alumni Writers, $60 for additional attendees from a NAMT organizational Member and $95 for NAMT Associate Members. Tickets to Mamma Mia, Gun & Powder, the opening reception on July 19 and lunch on July 20 is included in the cost of attendance. The Embassy Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Downtown has discounted rooms available for NAMT guests to book before June 29th, 2018.
