The Rebuilding Texas Fund was established in August 2017 by Keep Texas Beautiful to support our affiliate communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Resources and donations collected through the Fund are granted to affiliate communities through the Rebuilding Texas Grants to fund rebuilding and revitalization projects in areas affected by natural disaster and other intense destruction.
The Rebuilding Texas Grants will provide financial aid to affiliates who are hoping to undergo rebuilding or restoration projects such as:
- Continuing cleanup and debris removal efforts
- Replanting and rebuilding public spaces (parks, main street areas, trails, etc.)
- Creating community through garden or trail projects
- Replacing infrastructure that may have been damaged or lost (trash cans, park benches, safety railings, etc.)
- Repairing damaged public property
- Education initiatives for disaster preparedness or disaster debris management (workshops for public officials, public education and outreach campaign, etc.)
