I CAN Run for office

Washington Conservation Voters' candidate recruitment program supports and uplifts environmental champions for political office. We know there can be incredible barriers to running for office and our mission is provide the support needed to break down those barriers and provide a platform for environmental champions and community members to run for office and win!

We want to encourage people who care about issues of environmental justice, clean energy, and the health of our communities to step up and run. WCV also holds a particular focus for providing support to those historically left out of the political process, including people of color, women, young people, and others who are underrepresented in elected offices and positions of power.
