Thank you for your interest in submitting a nomination(s) for the 19th Annual A Night of Light Awards which recognize excellence in the North Texas nonprofit sector. CNM appreciates your time in submitting a nomination(s) to help us identify nonprofit organizations doing impactful work in our community and deserving of recognition. 

 

Please note:  You are invited to nominate an organization (and its employees) for more than one award category; however, an organization can only be named a finalist in one category.

Nonprofit of the Year
200 Word Limit - Describe the measurable impact the organization has on the community. You should include how the mission statement drove the organization’s strategic planning and decision making, and how the mission is embedded in the organizational culture. 
200 Word Limit - Describe how the organization has used innovative approaches to further the mission, and how these approaches were effective in meeting desired outcomes.
200 Word Limit - Describe how governance practices have added value to the organization.
200 Word Limit - Describe how strong fiscal management practices, and transparency in communicating financial information to the board, staff and other stakeholders, resulted in increased funding and sustainability for the future.
Nonprofit CEO of the Year









200 Word Limit - Describe how the CEO has utilized innovative approaches and leadership in promoting and advancing the mission of the organization within the past year.
200 Word Limit - Describe how the CEO developed cross-collaboration with other community partners within the past year. 
200 Word Limit - Describe how the CEO demonstrated long-term vision and sustainability for the organization such as, board development, strategic planning, investments in technology or resources, etc. within the past year.
200 Word Limit - Describe how the CEO developed his/her staff within the past year.
200 Word Limit - Describe how the CEO evaluated, measured and reported meaningful outcomes to funders and other stakeholders to demonstrate success within the past year.
Board Leader of the Year










200 Word Limit - Describe how the board leader has provided leadership by championing ongoing board development through self-assessment, challenging the status quo and advocating for high performance. 
200 Word Limit - Describe how the board leader advanced the mission of the organization in the community.
200 Word Limit - Describe how the board leader promoted governance best practices.
200 Word Limit - Describe how the board leader supported policy and a strategic vision tied to outcomes.
Nonprofit Program Leader of the Year





200 Word Limit - Describe the program for which the Program Leader is being nominated for.
200 Word Limit - Describe how the Program Leader has demonstrated leadership (acting with ownership) in advancing the mission of the organization through this program within the past year.
200 Word Limit - Describe what the Program Leader has accomplished in the community through their effective program management skills.
200 Word Limit - Describe how the Program Leader effectively utilized staff, and or volunteers, and any other actions they took to achieve program outcomes. 
Nonprofit Partner of the Year






200 Word Limit - Describe the nominated strategic partnership's program or initiative, and the outcomes of the collaborative efforts of the partnership.
200 Word Limit - Describe how the partnership used innovative approaches to advance social good.  
200 Word Limit - Describe how the partnership advanced the mission of the nonprofit organization. 
200 Word Limit - Describe how the partnership  impacted the community in a positive way.
