Thematic Areas

The internship program will cover the following thematic areas: Education, Urban Planning, Water Issues, Renewable Energy, Biodiversity, Climate Change, Agroindustry and Food Safety.

Please choose the top three of your preference. 




Attach a 500 word essay that discusses, explores and critically analyzes an issue that relates to any of the three fields of interest indicated above. Conduct a search and consult with faculty to learn about trends and issues in the field. This is your opportunity to demonstrate background knowledge, interest in your field and, above all, important writing and communication skills that our internship site partners look for in an ideal intern.Your essay will be shared with prospective internship sites. Please take the time to ensure that it is well written, organized and contains no typographical errors.

In approximately 100 words, please attach a document describing your professional goals and internship interests, as well as the skills you wish to build. Please do not specify the names(s) of any particular organization. If selected for this program, your Statement will be shared with the potential internship sites. Well-structured and thought-out statements are important

Attach a one page professional resume. Make sure to use a correct US Style format. Ideal sections for the resume include: Contact information; Education; Academic Honors/ Awards; Work Experience/ Professional Experience (including prior internships); Leadership Experience; Skills (computer skills, language ability).

Please attach your current university transcript. The transcripts should show course enrollment and grades for all semesters of your university career thus far.
