Criteria: To be considered, applicants must complete the application below; be in good standing in CCF programs; and be aiming to enroll in a progressive degree-seeking program once their debt is cleared. For example: a student who has earned an associate degree must be seeking a higher degree, not an associate degree in another majorStudents will also be required to sign a written agreement developed by the Academic Counselor that outlines the parameters of the debt repayment, including CCF and student commitments. In some instances, applicants may also be required to contribute funds toward the satisfaction of the debt.

To be in good standing with the program means students:

  • Comply with Student Rights and Responsibilities (SR & R).
  • Actively work with their Academic Counselor, remaining in regular contact and providing required paperwork and follow through with any referrals.
  • Participate in at least two CCF activities, including but not limited to: Community Meeting, graduation, workshops, approved policy events, volunteer for CCF Events. Additionally, students actively enrolled in another CCF program(Uplift Mentor, MultiGen, WISH, or BRACE)are only required to participate in one CCF activity.
  • Applicants who are not in good standing (i.e. did not complete activity requirements) must complete two activities before they are eligible to apply.

Please note that meeting these criteria does not guarantee a scholarship. Scholarships are competitive and awarded based on the availability of funds and your Academic Counselor’s recommendation, which is based on the following factors:

  1. how actively engaged is student with their Academic Counselor and CCF programs.
  2. how well the student meets characteristics and responsibilities outlined in the ASP Student Handbook (i.e. on time for events and meetings, responds to messages in prompt and appropriate manner etc.).
  3. what type of school(i.e. public, for profit, not-for-profit) the student intends to enroll in upon clearing of debt.  CCF advises students to attend institutions that provide a rigorous academic preparation at a reasonable cost. Students should work with their CCF Academic Counselor to determine their school options.
