The SIR Annual Meeting Committee announces this year’s call for proposals for new programming ideas for SIR 2019 (also known as “Create a Course” and “The Funaki Challenge” in previous years). In earlier years, we accepted general conceptual and topical proposals. Because of steadily increasing numbers of competitive submissions, for the 2019 meeting, only complete proposals with detailed descriptions of session title, format, moderators, speakers, presentation topics, and timing will be reviewed for acceptance. We have provided the following submission form to outline the details of your proposal. Submissions will be accepted from SIR members, Divisions, Committees, Workgroups, and Sections.

The Annual Meeting Committee is committed to inclusion and diversity in the programming to reflect the breadth of our field, and strongly encourages proposals that contribute to this goal. Specifically, potential submitters are encouraged to include women, underrepresented minorities, LGBTQ, overseas faculty, and early career faculty.

Help keep SIR’s Annual Scientific Meeting at the cutting edge, serving the thousands of attendees we expect in Austin! Please complete all portions of the submission form below no later than Friday, August 31
