ICFJ's Global Climate Reporting Program


This program is open to professional journalists from around the world. The ideal candidate is a professional journalist with experience covering climate issues. Journalists from Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, Poland and South Africa are especially encouraged to apply. Please note that all application questions must be completed in English; however, you may submit story links published in your native language. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Applicant Agreement to Program Conditions

I, the undersigned, understand and agree that the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), as program administrator, is under no obligation to select me or any other applicant for this program on covering climate issues. If selected for this program, I will agree to the premises and conditions set forth in the following statement:

1. As a precondition for participation, I agree to: participate in the virtual orientation and the workshop and Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco. I agree to publish stories on climate and sustainability issues based on my attendance at the Summit, in accordance with the requirements laid out by ICFJ.

2. I understand that the program administrator may terminate my participation at any time for reasons that are regarded as detrimental to the program, to be determined at the sole discretion of the program administrator or sponsor. For example, not meeting program requirements.
