CASEBOOK: The Making of Hurricane Diane Student Application - Winter 2018

Casebook allows audiences unprecedented access to the artists involved in the creation of a new work from rehearsal to production. Each year, New York Theatre Workshop designates one of its productions as a case study and hosts a class designed to provide theatre lovers of all experience levels with a true insider’s view of the life of a theatre artist and the process of realizing a full professional production. 

For the 2018/19 Season, Casebook will focus on the development of HURRICANE DIANE

January 8th – February 19th, 2019

Tuesdays, 6:30PM – 9:00PM (8 Weeks)

January 15th - Writing & Directing

January 22nd - Rehearsal Observation & Performers

January 29th - Design & Stage Management

February 1st & 2nd - Tech Observation & Producing

February 5th - Dress Rehearsal

February 12th - TBD

February 19th - Preview Performance & Reception



Application submission does not guarantee admission into the class. You will receive an automated email confirming that your application has been received. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Space permitting, you will be contacted to confirm your participation and process your payment.

Tuition includes one ticket to a preview performance of HURRICANE DIANE on Tuesday, January 19th followed by a Casebook culminating reception after the performance. 

Once you confirm your attendance, your payment will be processed. Full payment by credit card is required to finalize registration. Tuition can ONLY be paid by credit card. PLEASE NOTE: Sessions will be held in NYTW's 3rd Floor Rehearsal Studio (83 East 4th Street, between Bowery and 2nd Avenue). Due to the building's landmark status, the studio is not a wheelchair accessible space. There are 3 flights of stairs leading from the street level to the floor where the studio is located.
