SESSION OFFERINGS

Tech Foundations

June 14, 2021 - July 30, 2021

Monday - Thursday (9am - noon)

Location: Virtual

Entrepreneurship, Tech, & Justice

July 12, 2021 - August 13, 2021

Monday - Thursday (9am - noon)

Location: Virtual & In-Person events

Application Deadline: Friday, June 21, 2021

Must be 16+


You can expect to:

  • Develop strong relationships with a peer community
  • Choose to learn to code in Python, participate in data science fundamentals classes, and understand front/back-end web development
  • Have engaging discussions about the social justice aspects of technology and how they relate to our lives

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Commitment to attendance, Mon-Thurs, 9am - noon
  • Be actively engaged in the classes
  • Be 16 to 25 years old

Benefits (all accepted applicants will receive the following benefits upon the successful completion of the program):

  • Learn: Web design, Data Science & Analytics fundamentals, Python and career development skills
  • Receive: A laptop & DoorDash lunch credits (Mon - Thur) for duration of the program
  • Virtually Visit: Top tech companies & meet leaders at those companies 
  • Build: A portfolio (website, github, code)
  • Access: Hack the Hood alumni program with upcoming in-person events, 1:1 mentorship, internship/apprenticeship access, community college enrollment, etc.
